Leafs Recall Scrivens; Gustavsson Day-To-Day

Brian Burke, President and GM of the Maple Leafs, announced Saturday that the club has recalled goaltender Ben Scrivens on an emergency basis from the Marlies of the AHL. The Leafs also announced that goaltender Jonas Gustavsson is day-to-day with a knee injury and will not be in tonight's lineup. Scrivens has played eight games with the Maple Leafs this season, posting a 2-4-1 record with a 2.96 goals against average and a .904 save percentage.

Ducks Recall Mat Clark From AHL Syracuse

The Ducks announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Mat Clark from the Syracuse Crunch, Anaheim's primary development affiliate in the AHL. Clark has yet to appear in an NHL game. He played 56 games for Syracuse this season, scoring 1-11=12 points with 66 penalty minutes. The defenseman made his professional debut with Syracuse in 2010-11, collecting 2-14=16 points with 128 PIM in 80 games. Clark led the team in PIM and was one of two Crunch players to appear in all 80 games last season.

Blue Jackets Add Cody Goloubef

The Blue Jackets have added defenseman Cody Goloubef to the roster on emergency recall from the Springfield Falcons, the club's AHL affiliate, club Executive Vice President and GM Scott Howson announced today. Goloubef, 22, is in his second professional season and has registered 11 assists and 39 penalty minutes in 45 games with Springfield this season.

Coyotes Send Pouliot To AHL Portland

Coyotes GM Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have reassigned forward Marc-Antoine Pouliot to the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes AHL affiliate. Pouliot has collected four assists in 13 games with the Coyotes. He has appeared in 41 games with the Pirates this season, recording 7-20-27 and 57 penalty minutes.

Rangers Send Tim Erixon To AHL Whales

Rangers President and GM Glen Sather announced today that the club has assigned defenseman Tim Erixon to the Connecticut Whale of the AHL. Erixon, 21, recorded two assists in five games following his recall from Connecticut on March 17, and has tallied two assists in 18 games with the Rangers this season.

Dennis Seidenberg Out With Leg Infection

Bruins defenseman Dennis Seidenberg won't play Thursday night when the team hosts the Capitals because of a leg laceration. Seidenberg suffered the laceration when a skate blade cut him during Saturday's game against the Kings in Los Angeles, and it has become infected.

The Canadiens, in last place in the Eastern Conference at, fired GM Pierre Gauthier Thursday. Team owner Geoff Molson will hold a news conference later Thursday to discuss the move. Gauthier was hired as GM and executive vice president in February 2010, taking over from Bob Gainey.

Lightning Send Pierre-Cedric Labrie To AHL Norfolk

The Lightning have reassigned forward Pierre-Cedric Labrie to the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL today, Vice President and GM Steve Yzerman announced. Labrie, 25, has played in 14 games with the Lightning this season, recording two assists and 15 penalty minutes. He collected his first career NHL point (assist) with the Lightning on January 21 at Phoenix. An undrafted forward, Labrie was originally signed by the Canucks on July 9, 2007. Vancouver traded him to the Blues in exchange for forward Yan Stastny on March 3, 2010. He was signed by the Lightning as a free agent on December 29, 2011.

Brian Burke, President and GM of the Maple Leafs, announced Tuesday that the club has recalled goaltender Jussi Rynnas on an emergency basis from the Marlies of the AHL. Rynnas has played 19 games for the Marlies this season compiling a record of 9-8-1 with a 2.48 goals against average, a .911 save percentage and three shutouts. The goaltender has also appeared in 14 games for the ECHL’s Reading Royals. In 14 games with Reading he has registered an 8-5-1 record, a 3.21 goals against average and .a 914 save percentage with one shutout. The Leafs also announced that goaltender James Reimer will not be in tonight’s lineup as he has an upper body injury.
